RELI Group Welcomes New Business Development Staff
The RELI Group is excited to announce the recent addition of Sayeed “Syd” Rahman as our new Capture Director, Jerry Wetmore as a new Capture Manager, and Mike Gartland as a new Proposal/Capture Manager. Rahman, Wetmore and Gartland bring decades of experience in business development, capture management and more across the federal contracting space.
“Syd, Jerry and Mike will be wonderful additions to the RELI Group business development team,” said Nathan Crochunis, Vice President of Operations. “They bring the insights and innovation that will set RELI apart from our competitors and position us for success in the full and open market.”
Rahman’s skill set spans across sales, marketing, business development, capture management and proposal development. His impressive track record includes contributions to more than 100 federal RFI/RFP responses, including contracts valued at more than $100 million.
Rahman holds an Executive MBA from The George Washington University and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University, and is a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. In his new role, Rahman will lead capture management and growth initiatives across key accounts, including FDA, HHS and select DHS accounts.
Wetmore brings more than two decades of contracting experience, having worked with businesses of all sizes, from small enterprises to large corporations. His background encompasses various roles in business development and capture management.
Prior to his career in government contracting, Wetmore held leadership positions as CEO/COO for small companies, specializing in selling to government agencies and higher education institutions. He also served as a CIO at Lucent Technologies Fiber Manufacturing, showcasing his multidimensional skill set. Wetmore will focus primarily on capture management and growth initiatives for CDC.
Gartland brings more than 15 years of professional experience in healthcare compliance and oversight, including 8 years in federal healthcare contracting for CMS. His expertise in business development, capture and proposals has led to successful proposal wins in the federal and commercial markets.
Gartland also served as the Program Director for compliance review programs in the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight as well as the Innovation Center within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Additionally, he provided oversight for medical record review projects for the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
